He has received numerous achievement recognition awards in the public and private sector, including five Meritorious Honor Awards and the prestigious Superior Honor Award from the State Department. In 1993, he was the top graduate from the Florida Realtor Institute.
David has lived on three continents and is conversant in French, Spanish and German. During his time as a REALTOR® in Orlando, Florida, he completed transactions with nationals from 42 countries. In 2004, he was invited to join the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations as an International Realty Specialist. David has served in several management capacities and has been personally involved in the purchase, lease or sale of commercial office space, land, and housing for U.S. embassies and consulates in more than 120 countries.
While his position with the State Department only allows him to represent the United States Government in the brokerage of real estate, David maintains active REALTOR® status and occasionally teaches CIPS courses in the U.S. and abroad. His easy, humorous style has made him a top-rated instructor since he first began teaching for the National Association of REALTORS®. The incredible range of both his U.S. and global experience and his in-the-trenches familiarity with all aspects of managing real estate transactions both inside and outside the United States, make David uniquely suited to the task of teaching real estate professionals from any part of the world.
